Making Energy Transition Understandable for All

“In the span of just a few decades, the United States could eliminate fossil fuels and rely 100 percent on renewable energy.” That is the bold vision of Stanford engineering professor Mark Jacobson, who produced a state-by-state road map of how the country could wean itself off coal, oil, natural gas and nuclear power. National Geographic wanted to disseminate this study, to make Jacobson’s message accessible and comprehensible to all sections of society.

Solution: Bestiario collaborated with National Geographic to design and build an interactive resource visualising, state by state, how the country could free itself from fossil carbon and nuclear power. Intended for use on desktop and mobile devices, the project is centred on a simple user experience easily shared on social networks.
